Dear Supporters of Equality,

Thank you all so much for your hard work and support over the last year. It is because of you that Gainesville voters rejected Charter Amendment 1 and affirmed that all people who live, work and learn in Gainesville deserve protection.

Please join us on Saturday March 28th at 7:00 PM for a Victory Celebration hosted by the Pride Community Center of North Central Florida. We invite each of you who volunteered, donated and supported Equality is Gainesville?s Business to join us one last time as we acknowledge the contributions each of you made to this historic victory.

P.S. If you have “No On 1″ yard signs, please bring them by the Pride Center and we will recycle the components. The Pride Center is open from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. If the Center is closed please leave the signs by the door and we will make sure they are recycled.

Cheryl is a computer networking professor at Sante Fe College for the past 14 years and is a highly sought after internet and computer consultant. Previous to her tenure at Sante Fe, Cheryl spent seven years working for the American Red Cross in Jacksonville. During that time she served as a founding member of the North Florida Aids Network, Vice-Chair of the North Florida Drowning Prevention Coalition and wrote many grants for HIV/AIDS education training. Cheryl has, also, had the privilege of being mother to two wonderful human beings. Her 19 year old son Sean and 17 year old daughter Jessie have been very supportive of her commitment to Wild Iris Books and have been very helpful its growth and success. Cheryl is the logistical and strategic thinker of the team who is one of the most non-judgmental, compassionate persons on the planet.
